Soft Shepherds, Weak Sheep, and the War We Pretend We’re Not In In this episode of It Makes Sense, we’re going straight at one of the biggest problems in the modern Church: soft pulpits that create weak Christians. This is not a call for pastors to be loud, angry, harsh, or reckless. It is a call for pastors to be faithful. The Church does not need religious managers trying to keep everyone comfortable. The Church needs shepherds who feed, protect, correct, train, and prepare the people of God to stand in a culture that is actively discipling them away from Scripture. The main idea is simple: many Christians are weak because many pulpits are weak. When pastors soften the gospel, dodge hard truths, avoid cultural pressure, and trade conviction for crowd management, the Church becomes emotionally fragile, biblically shallow, and spiritually unprepared.
